FTP Server How-To
Access to the SSA Graphics FTP (File Transfer Protocal) server will allow you to use FTP client software or your web browser to upload and download digital files. The FTP server is used to transfer large job files and proofs. The SSA Graphics FTP server is available 24/7 to authorized SSA clients and vendors.
When using the SSA Graphics FTP server, you will need login information, which will include the FTP server address, a user login and a password. Your Account Executive can provide this for you if you do not have this information. Contact us to request FTP server access.
Once you have this information you will need to use FTP client software to connect to the server. When using Windows, we recommend a program like CuteFTP or BulletProof FTP. On the Macintosh, we recommend Fetch or Transmit. Other secure methods of connecting to the server exsist but these are programs that are readily available for download, to install and to use.
Once you have downloaded and installed the software of your choice, configure it according to the instructions included with the software. The setting for the SSA Graphics server will be customized for you but will follow this convention:

In place of <user> and <password>, insert the information given to you by your SSA Account Executive. |
Once you have successfully logged in to the SSA Graphics FTP Server, you will be automatically shown your files area. Upload to or Download from this area. Be sure and contact your Account Executive when uploading or downloading files so we can give your files the attention they need.
